One of my favourite spots for a day trip in south east Queensland is Mt Tamborine.
A beautiful bushwalk with my husband and children through lush rainforest and past idyllic waterfalls, followed by lunch at one of the many cafes and then an afternoon poking through art galleries and craft shops is, for me, the perfect day. In fact I think I’ve just described the perfect Mother’s Day for many Queensland mums (feel free to drop some hints around this idea to your hubby if nothing else has been planned for this Sunday!)
In fact with the Craft Extravaganza Mother’s Day Fair happening this weekend it is the perfect time to visit the glorious Gold Coast hinterland.
Addicted to Buttons will join 50 other artisans and handmade crafters at this three day event from this Friday May 9 – through to Mothers Day on Sunday, May 11. There is ample parking, a café, EFTPOS facilities and the event raises funds in support of the Mt Tamborine Rural Fire Brigade.
The Extravaganza is at the Vonda Youngman Community Centre, 1 Knoll Rd North Tamborine and is open from 10am to 4pm each day.
